Meditation

Take some time to clear your mind

You can meditate anywhere at any time.

Some people can click straight into a meditative state, while others find it easier if they are in a certain space, at a certain time, with certain things around them (candles, essential oils etc).

A meditation can last just a couple of moments – taking a breath or even washing your hands mindfully can be a meditation.

Meditation For Me

For me meditation means a couple of things.

The first thing is to take myself out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life – giving myself a chance to disengage from whatever busyness is going on.

Secondly, it is about connecting to something that is bigger than me – call it universal energy, spirit, peace – it means different things to different people.

I meditate pretty much most days and if I don’t do it I definitely miss it. It sets me up for the day and connects me in with whoever or whatever.

What I do is set the timer on my phone for 20 minutesso I don’t have to worry about ‘am I there yet?’! Usually, after this, I then do a visualisation, again setting the timer on my phone for a couple of minutes, and also do some tapping.

Guided Group Meditations

I also run online guided meditation groups. For me, I love meditating with other people because the meditation is always so much stronger when you do it with someone else.

And for people who find it difficult to meditate, coming together with a group is a great way of getting you to meditate first of all.

Secondly, because it is a guided meditation, all you need to do is show up and sit there, and I gently guide you through the meditation.

Chakra Clearing

We start the meditation with a mindfulness exercise and then usually follow it with a guided chakra clearing meditation.

There may be a theme for the meditation, for example, clearing family patterns, healing the heart, releasing fear etc.

The theme of the meditation is very often suggested by participants in advance.

So, the experience is definitely a collaborative effort and by meditating with the group, the experience is definitely stronger.

Sending Out Healing

Towards the end of the meditation we send out a healing to the planet.

Recently, I saw the Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan being interviewed for the documentary Meetings With Ivor , where the renowned Irish psychiatrist, Ivor Browne talks about his work.

Tiernan talked about a group of nun’s in the town where he lives. They are the Poor Clare’s order of nuns, and there is an altar of perpetual adoration. He said that at any hour of the day or night, they pulse love out from the heart to everybody else in the convent, the town, county and to the world. And that where a town knows that it has nuns, it sort of looks after the whole town. There is someone there working on their behalf.

And in a way, this is what we try to do with the group meditation. We do a meditation and a clearing for ourselves in the group and then magnify and send this healing out into the greater community.

No one is forced to take it. It is available for those who are seeking healing.

Finally, at the end of the meditation we do a group healing using Rahanni Energy and the Violet Flame. This heals at a very deep level and leaves participants feeling relaxed and ready to approach their day/evening.

I run online meditations once a month and you can view upcoming events here
