My interest in personal development, which ended up with me training in EFT tapping therapy, started a number of years ago when I became ill with Chronic Fatigue. Conventional medicine was unable to help me so I had to look at alternative therapies to help me find a solution.
Originally, I did business studies and worked in marketing, advertising and financial services before I started working with EFT tapping therapy. No matter what job I was doing, working with clients and helping them to find the right solution was the thing that I most enjoyed.
Working in the corporate sector was great, but in my last few years there, I felt that I wanted to go in a different direction; one that had more meaning for me.
When I had chronic fatigue, as part of the process of recovery, I had to look at the way I was living my life because it clearly wasn’t working.
Originally, I trained in coaching, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Matrix Therapies & Hypnotherapy.
However, once I learnt EFT tapping therapy, it immediately became the primary tool that I use. While I incorporate all of these other techniques into my work, I found that tapping is the most effective way of getting to the root of getting to the root of the problem, and making permanent changes.

How has EFT tapping therapy helped me?
For me, the work on myself and with others is about getting back to the root of who we are. So, who we are without the fear, anger, sadness or any other negative emotion or belief that is holding us back.
I would have been the type of person who was a serial people pleaser, felt I wasn’t good enough, didn’t deserve, and always putting others before myself. While thinking of others is a positive thing, it has to come from the right place of feeling that you deserve, you are good enough and doing what is right for you.
For myself, being the youngest of 7, it was a busy household. There was so much going on, and that me pleasing people not rocking the boat earned me praise. So I continued. This was what I worked on to change.
EFT tapping therapy helped me to get to the root of where these beliefs come from, and has helped me to change these beliefs (yes you can change your beliefs!).
As with everyone, I am a work in progress!! Life happens and we are human. So situations will happen and it will cause us to feel negative emotion or may trigger us in some way. But being able to feel it, process it and move through the emotion is how we move forward without being pulled back into the past.
Over the years, I have lived in Dublin, London, Sydney, and returned back to Ireland in November 2010, having spent 3½ years living in China.
For me the most important piece of my work is about facilitating change at a very deep level, primarily working on negative beliefs. Beliefs are the filter through which we see the world so affect us on every level.
Does Tapping Work?
People always ask me: does tapping therapy work?
Absolutely! It works really well, and I have seen the results from myself and also with my clients.
And because EFT is all about getting to the root of the problem and clearing the effects from the root, the effects are permanent.
It feels so good when you let go of those beliefs that are no longer serving you!
