Healing Your Inner Critic

We all have an inner critic – a voice in our head that expresses criticism, frustration, disapproval. It says things like ‘you should be more (insert your own words here…. successful, thin, fit, rich etc), why can’t you etc …It’s a voice that is full of judgement and tells you that you are not worthy, you are not good enough and you don’t deserve.
Everyone will have a different voice speaking to them, saying different things and at different times.
And some people may feel that having an inner critic is helpful because it motivates them, and makes us achieve.
However, for many others, me included, listening to and agreeing with your inner critic is a great way of keeping us stuck, preventing us from taking any action, keep putting off whatever it is that we really want to do.
Not only that, it causes us to feel a lot of stress and anxiety and is frankly just exhausting.
Some people have likened having an inner critic as having an ‘away’ crowd in your head. Every time you do something, you have this crowd booing at you saying ‘you’re rubbish, who the hell do you think you are, you may as well give up now…’.
Wouldn’t it be nicer to have a ‘home’ crowd in your head, cheering you on, telling you that you are fantastic, you can do it, we believe in you?
In this one day workshop, we will be working to heal and calm your inner critic.
Using Emotional Freedom Technique EFT, or tapping as it is usually referred to, we will be looking at where does this voice come from, what do they want with you, and how we can make friends with it, and go some way towards healing your inner critic.
We will also be doing some mindfulness exercises and meditation to get you out of your head, and also some energy healing using Rahanni & The Violet Flame, working to heal some of the deeper aspects of your inner critic.
